Four New Official Repos in Docker Hub: Gazebo, Rocket.chat, Joomla and Redmine

We’re excited to announce four new Official Repos that we added to Docker Hub in August and September. These repos are the newest additions to a growing library of curated content maintained by Docker and our partners. Docker users have pulled Official Repos nearly 130 million times for use in both development and production contexts – a 63% increase since late July! Welcome Gazebo, Rocket.Chat, Joomla, and Redmine to the Docker library!

Four New Official Repos in Docker Hub: Kibana, ownCloud, ArangoDB and Kaazing Gateway

We’re excited to announce four new Official Repos that we added to Docker Hub in June and July. These repos are the newest additions to a growing library of production-ready content maintained by Docker and our partners. Docker users have pulled Official Repos nearly 80 million times for use in both development and production contexts. We’re excited to add Kibana, ownCloud, ArangoDB, and Kaazing Gateway to the Docker library.

New Apt and Yum Repos

No longer will you apt-get install lxc-docker, a super confusing name considering we no longer use lxc as the default backend for Docker out of the box. Let’s take a deep dive into the awesomeness that is the new repos.

Updates Available to Popular Repos – Update Your Images

At Docker, we’re working with our open source community to build a rich ecosystem of containerized images.  In the past year alone, Docker users and partners have created 100,000+ images and pulled 200+ million images from Docker Hub.  We’re proud of our progress to-date, and committed to the developers who rely on Docker images for critical workflows—whether they’re Official Repos released by Docker ourselves, or images created by the community. Before Official Repos, it was members of the community like @Pilwon who got the public repositories going with content for their fellow users. We would like to thank @Pilwon for being an awesome and early creator of community images, which he posted in an account called ‘dockerfile’.
