Announcing (Even) More Speakers for DockerCon 2016

A quick note about the selection process: this year the Review Committee reviewed 570+ proposals using a double blind process, which means proposals were reviewed just by their abstract, outline and takeaways. From the initial review, we selected the top 100 proposals and began conversations with the authors of the most promising talks. We’re not quite done yet, but we expect to publish the schedule soon! If your proposal was not accepted, please consider submitting for a local meetup or another conference. Once again, we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to both submit and review the proposals. Without further ado, here are the next round of DockerCon speakers selected by the DockerCon Community Review Committee.

Announcing the Black Belt Sessions at DockerCon 2016

We are excited to announce the first talks in the curated Black Belt Track at DockerCon 2016! Attendees of this track will learn from technical deep dives that haven’t been presented anywhere else by members of the Docker team and from the Docker community. These sessions are code and demo-heavy and light on the slides. From Docker internals to advanced container orchestration, security and networking, this track should delight most of the container ninjas in the room.

DockerCon 2016: CFP Extended!

Thank you to all who have submitted a proposal for DockerCon 2016. Our call for papers closed on Friday and we received an overwhelming response (over 200 in the last 48 hours)! We’ve received many requests for more time to complete submissions. Due to this, we have decided to reopen the CFP for three more days. You now have until Wednesday, March 23rd 11:59pm PST to submit your talk for DockerCon. This is a hard deadline since we need adequate time to review the proposals and select speakers.
