For this week’s Docker Online Meetup, Docker Captains Ajeet Singh Raina, Viktor Farcic and Bret Fisher shared their tips and tricks for built In Docker orchestration. Ajeet talked about the best ways to use Docker 1.12 Service Discovery and shared key takeaways. Viktor talked about best practices for setting a Swarm cluster and integrating it with HAProxy. Docker Online Meetups #28 and #29: Production-Ready Docker Swarm and Docker Networking is Now GA

This week, we hosted two Docker Online Meetups. The first on Wednesday featured Alexander Beslic presenting on production-ready Swarm. For the second one on Thursday, Madhu Venugopal discussed the recently-GA Docker Networking. Below are the recorded videos and slides from both presentations.  

Scaling Docker with Swarm

We are extremely excited to announce the first beta release of Swarm, a native clustering tool for Docker. For the past two years, Docker has made the lives of millions of developers easier by making building, shipping and running applications simpler through containers. However, things get complicated when dealing with more than one host for Docker containers in a distributed environment.  This is where Swarm comes in. Swarm pools together several Docker Engines and exposes them as a single virtual Docker Engine. It serves the standard Docker API, so any tool that already works with Docker can now transparently scale up to multiple hosts.
