The moment you have all been waiting for is finally here…the DockerCon 2016 Agenda is live! Whether you are a Docker beginner or a container ninjas, we’re confident that DockerCon will have the right content for you. With 8 tracks and more than 80 sessions by corporate heavyweights such as Salesforce, Uber or GE to smaller companies like Riot Games or HealthDirect, DockerCon 2016 will cover a wide range of Docker use cases and topics. If you plan on joining us in Seattle in T-minus 42 days (a magical number in Docklandia), you can download the official DockerCon App and start building your agenda today. Fun fact: DoubleDutch runs on Docker too so your DockerCon experience is now Dockerized! Below are some useful tips and tricks for getting the most out of the DockerCon App.

What’s New at DockerCon 2016

Each year, our goal for DockerCon is to deliver the best and most unique Docker event experience possible for the Docker community. Each year, we face new challenges on how to improve on the previous DockerCon. We spend many hours brainstorming creative ways to top the beautiful keynote sets and roaming inflatable whales, and how we can cram even more amazing content into just a few days. The end goal is always the same – create the conference that the awesome community deserves. It’s a challenge that we are always up for. As we quickly approach DockerCon 2016 in Seattle, we wanted to share with you new and exciting programs coming your way at this year’s conference!

DockerCon15 Website is up, announcing the first speakers!

Today we’re thrilled to announce that the DockerCon website is live with (almost) everything you wanted to know about the conference, including the first batch of speakers! With over 380 submissions this year, the DockerCon Community Committee set to the task of narrowing the sessions down to 24 spots. It’s taken a lot of long hours so thank you to those on the committee that volunteered their time to give us a hand in this process. Given the large number of submissions and the limited number of sessions, we won’t be able to accept as many speakers as we would like for this year’s DockerCon but we sincerely want to thank everyone who submitted such awesome talks.

DockerCon CFP Summary

Our DockerCon 2015 call for papers closed last week, and we’d like to sincerely thank the 338 individuals who submitted talks. These submissions are further proof of a bright, witty and extremely talented community that surrounds Docker. We are very excited about the content that will be at DockerCon this year. We have formed a community committee who will begin the review and voting process. Please keep an eye on the blog over the next couple of weeks. We will make session selection announcements here and notify all who entered by email when the results are final.

DockerCon 2015 CFP Extended

Thank you to all who have submitted a session for DockerCon so far. We are very excited by the nearly 342 fantastic submissions we’ve received. After our initial call for papers closed on Monday, we received an overwhelming response and many requests for more time. Due to this we have decided to reopen the CFP for an additional week. You now have until March 24th 11:59pm to submit your talk for DockerCon. This will be a hard deadline since we need adequate time to review the papers and select finalists. Tip of the day: Speak about something you know. If you’re passionate about a certain subject, or think you’re an expert in a specific area, please share your knowledge! If matters to you, chances are it matters to others. That’s what makes DockerCon sessions great. Please note that one free Continue reading…
