Docker Global Hack Day #3 is just around the corner! Hacking starts on Wednesday, September 16th and runs through Monday, September 21st.
There are plenty of reasons why you should join, but below are the Docker team’s top 5 reasons why you should participate in Docker Global Hack Day!
1) Learn more about Docker
Along with being able to collaborate with fellow Docker users you can learn more about Docker by getting some hands on experience with the support of other Docker Users.
2) Winners receive whalesome prizes
We think the prizes are awesome! Both local edition and global winners will be chosen so there are plenty of opportunities to win!
Each member of the First Place Global winning team (one for each category) will receive a complimentary pass to attend DockerCon Europe 2015, accommodations during the conference and a lightning talk at the conference to present their winning hack!
Each member of the Second Place Global winning team (one for each category) will receive a limited edition Docker hoodie.
Each member of the three third place teams (one for each category) will receive a Docker-customized Tile.
Each member of the winning local edition team will win a special edition Docker baseball shirt.
3) Score cool Docker swag
All attendees who participate in the local editions can get cool Docker swag like a limited edition Docker Global Hack Day #3 T-shirt and sticker!
4) Collaborate with other Docker users
Like many other Docker events, you have the opportunity to meet other Docker users. But with Docker Global Hack Day #3, you will collaborate on a hack idea with other developers, and who knows, maybe you and your team will end up going to DockerCon EU.
Click here to check out the list of already submitted hacks or to submit your own idea!
5) Gain more recognition in the Docker community
Last but not least, you can gain some recognition within the Docker community. All submitted hacks will be highlighted online and winning hacks from local editions will be promoted on social media for voting on global winners.
